A Bit of Fun

We have had some fun activities lately. We had a personal progress night a couple of weeks ago to talk about and complete some personal progress goals.  The first one we talked about was as a young women's group we will all be fasting this Sunday 1st April.  We will be fasting for those young women that are less active or having trouble getting to church so that we can know how to help them.

The next activity was a knowledge one and we talked about talents and then learned how to do some cake decorating.  These are some of the girls efforts.  They did really well....although some of them enjoyed the eating more than the decorating.  We even got to celebrate Talija's birthday! 

Personal Progress Night and Blog Updates

This Tuesday the 20th of March we are going to be having a personal progress night so don't forget to bring you books and journal so that we can have some fun and make some progress. 

Thanks to everyone that signed forms on Sunday.  I have updated our birthday page with those that handed in forms and I will be able to start putting up some fun pictures now.  For those that provided me with an email address you should have now received an email asking you to confirm that you want to receive email updates.  Just follow the instructions in the email and then you will receive an email each time that a new post goes up on the blog.

New Beginnings Night

Thanks to everyone that participated and attended the New Beginnings Night on Tuesday.  It was a lovely night.  We got to learn and be reminded about Young Women's and the programs in it. We even got to eat our values.

 

New beginnings night tomorrow!

Is everyone excited about our New Beginings night tomorrow? I know I am. There will be lots to learn and see and even some yummy treats to share. Make sure you bring your parents and come dressed in your Sunday best or you may just need to wear Eileen's spare outfit ;) See you all there.

Tuesday Night Trivia Night

Thanks to the young men for organising the activity for Tuesday night.  We learned lots answering all of the  general knowledge and church specific questions.  Congratulations to 'Gryffindor' for winning the competition.  The other teams 'Wibbly Wabbly' 'Mosquito' 'This Is Me' and of course 'Ben Kenobi' weren't far behind.  We finished up the night with a comparison activity looking at the new and old Strength of Youth books.  We discovered that there are lots of valuable new additions pertinent to us today.  We all got to take one of the new books home to read.
